💜 The Self-Care Whisper October
A New Season, A Road Trip & A Few Exciting Plot Twists…

Hello lovely,
Can you believe we’re already heading towards the end of another year?
I don’t know about you, but lately I’ve had that funny mixture of
“Where on earth did this year go?”and“Ohhh… I’m actually quite excited about what’s coming next.”😂
There has been a LOT happening behind the scenes for me. I’ve been simplifying, changing things, refreshing my branding, looking at what I really want in my business and my life and, perhaps most importantly, letting go of some things that simply don’t fit anymore.
And surprisingly, instead of feeling scary, it feels incredibly freeing.
I’m learning that we don’t have to stay committed to something simply because it was once the right choice. We’re allowed to change our minds. We’re allowed to take a different path. And we’re certainly allowed to ask,“Does this still work for me?”
Sometimes self-care is a quiet cup of tea.
Sometimes it’s a walk along the beach.
And sometimes self-care is saying,“Actually, I don’t want to do it that way anymore.”

My business has been having a little spring clean of its own.
🌿 I’ve been refreshing my online spaces and getting clearer about what I want this next chapter to look and feel like.
And beneath all the changes, one thing hasn’t changed at all why I do what I do.
After more than 50 years in nursing, and through my own experiences of burnout, discomfort, grief, change and starting again, I’m more passionate than ever about helping women realise that getting older does not mean giving up on feeling vibrant, strong, confident and excited about life.
My focus is becoming beautifully simple:self-care, vitality, confidence, connection and ageing well your way.
I’m continuing to explore the wellness practices and technologies that genuinely interest me too, including frequency wellness, Inner Voice, nervous-system support and some of the tools I personally use as part of my own wellbeing routine.
Not because I think we need another hundred things to add to our already overflowing lives!
Quite the opposite.
I’m becoming much more interested in asking:
What actually serves me? What can I simplify? And what helps me feel more like ME?

I’m also very excited about the direction of The Vitality Collective. 💜
I wanted to create somewhere women could come together without feeling they had to perform, have everything sorted or pretend life is wonderful every minute of the day.
Because it isn’t.
We can be strong women and still get tired. We can be incredibly grateful for our lives and still want something to change. We can care deeply for other people and finally realise that we need to be somewhere on our own priority list too.
The Vitality Collective is becoming that place for conversations about self-care, menopause, energy, overwhelm, boundaries, confidence, healthy ageing and all those changing seasons of a woman’s life.
There’ll be complimentary resources, wellness conversations, inspiration and our Coffee Chats and the community itself is free to join.
Because sometimes we don’t need another thing to “fix”.
Sometimes we just need connection, support and a reminder that we’re not doing this alone.

And speaking of vitality…
Apparently,I’m a Zumba woman now.💃😂
Yes, I stepped outside my comfort zone and went back to Zumba and I am absolutely loving it.
Do I know every step? No.
Am I perfectly coordinated? We’re not going to discuss that. 😂
But am I moving, laughing, learning and having fun?
Absolutely.
And that has reminded me of something important.
Healthy ageing isn’t about becoming smaller, quieter or sitting on the sidelines because of the number attached to our birthday.
I want to keep moving. Keep learning. Keep trying new things. Keep travelling. Keep laughing. Keep challenging the stories about what we supposedly can or can’t do as we get older.
I want toparticipate in my life.
And that brings me to something else I’m getting rather excited about…

🚗 A ROAD TRIP IS CALLING!
There’s a holiday and a road trip coming, and I can already feel that wonderful sense of adventure.
A different view out the window. New places to explore. Beach walks. No rushing. A little more freedom.
And obviously there will need to be some very serious research into the best coffee stops along the way. ☕😂
As the holidays get closer, perhaps this is the reminder some of us need:
You don’t have to earn rest.
You don’t have to finish absolutely everything before you allow yourself to enjoy your life.
Because spoiler alert everything is never finished.
There will always be another email, another job, another load of washing and probably another person who needs something from us.
But life cannot only be about getting through the list.
At some point, we have to put ourselves on it.
So this month, I want to leave you with a question.
What are YOU ready to make space for?
Maybe it’s more rest. More movement. More fun. Better boundaries. A new opportunity. An adventure you’ve been putting off. Or perhaps it’s simply having enough space to hear yourself think again.
You don’t need to reinvent your entire life overnight.
Sometimes one small decision is enough to begin changing the direction of the next chapter.
And perhaps one of the most exciting questions we can ask ourselves is…
✨ “I wonder what would happen if I tried?”
There is so much more coming over the next few months. New wellness conversations, new resources, some exciting ideas I’m experimenting with and probably another plot twist or two, because apparently that’s how I roll these days. 😂
And you know what?
I’m okay with that.
We’re allowed to evolve.
We’re allowed to change direction.
And we’re allowed to create a next chapter that feels more like the woman we are becoming rather than the woman we used to be.
Here’s to more curiosity, more self-care, more laughter, more adventures…and maybe a few unexpected detours along the way. 🚗💜
With love,

P.S.I have a feeling this road trip may produce a story or two. 😂 I’ll keep you posted.
